At the XVIIth Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts (hereinafter CECC), which was held in June 2017 in Batumi, Georgia, the Circle of Presidents of European constitutional courts and other similar European institutions exercising constitutional jurisdiction elected the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic to chair this Conference in the period of years 2017 – 2020.  It is a great honor and a privilege for the Czech Constitutional Court to prepare the XVIIIth Congress of the Conference in Prague in 2020.
